Someone says the right hates America, someone else says the left hates America. Why can't everybody just put aside their differences and realize we need to work together to survive?

Why do conservatives and liberals fight all the time instead of both just accept the government needs a real change. Not just come election time, do something else to promote peace in the world.

How can we be at peace with the rest of the world if we, as Americans, as one people, cannot live in peace with each other?

Does anybody have any clue?

Serious answers only, PLEASE?!

It doesn't matter in the long run who was wrong or who was right. In the end, the only thing that matters is that America claims to be a pluralistic society, right? Let's act like it!

hey.

look, point 1: y'all are NOT at peace with the world. i don't know about america, but i know enough to say that the middle east (EXCLUDING ISREAL) and america and isreal are on the verge (bad spelling?) of nuclear or (5 yrs later maybe) plasma war.

the american government is feeding itself with all this conflict. who cares if it's the liberal/conservative, the democrat/repub or the right/left conflict. what's important to them is that the american public is kept busy with these conflictzz just so that they wouldn't critisize bush or the congress.
promote peace??!! ever since man was created (adam and eve's two sons) there has been war and bloodshed. with the creation of different religious beliefs, it entered a new phase, making countries to pound at eachother on religious differences. and now, modern day world is another battleground. the world is always going to stay alive on two immense countries, with a few small ones in the middle. wether it's russia and the us, or isreal and iran or somewhere else. the world nowadays doesn't know blood, it only understands words like "terrorist" or "dictator" or "democracy", or most importantly, what caused 5 wars in the last century, "communism" and "national fascism: nazi".

i don't care about the holocaust or vietnam or iraq, all i'm saying is that war is gonna stay, becuz a homo sapien can be greedy, jealous, and powerful.

love to all americanzz.

The reason everyone accuses everyone else of hating America is because it sounds demeaning and it catches the ear. So when somebody can't come up with a pertinent objection that involves intellect saying (or typing) 'freedom-hater' or 'yer anti-American' makes people stop for a second and say 'ooh! he/she doesn't like America... slimeball!' And that distracts most people from the fact that the accuser isn't presenting any intelligent commentary or debate at all.

As far as politics is concerned that's just a technical extension of human nature, to be at conflict with one another. Yer right for what it's worth though, if we cannot get along with ourselves, we will not achieve anything outside ourselves.

Hate is something that will live with us (us as in human beings) forever. It is as much a part of us as love is. You cannot have love without hate, like light and dark.

It's easier than having to think and provide a rational arguement for their position. Also, they think politics is a team sport and their side has to "win".
