Anna...ur crazy, he is a good actor but he is no Bob Marley... i dont even see the resemblance, unless they are gonna put on tons of makeup and voice-over? I pray it wont be a Cool Runnings vocal cast.. lol fake Jamaican Patios

I don't know if Jamie Foxx would have been my first choice to play Bob Marley, but I do think that he would do a good job.
What everyone seems to forget is that before he became a "serious" actor, he did stand-up and sketch comedy, complete with various celebrity impersonations. His ability to closely observe and recreate a person's mannerisms and speech patterns so well made him a shoe-in to play Ray Charles. That may just even be the case with Bob Marley.

I honestly couldn't see Jamie doing Ray Charles when I first found out he was gonna play him. But, come on now, he REALLY did a hell of a job, and looked alot like him, right? So, let's be a little more open minded. It could be a good thing.
Lawrence Fishburne playing Ike Turner, I thought was miscast (cause he looks WAY better than the real Ike), but he acted his a@@ off, so...

I believe that Foxx would do a good job portraying Bob, he's an incredibly versatile actor.

I have to agree with you on this one...I dont think Foxx would fit this role...I think it would be better if they had one of his sons to portray him...they look like him and they know more about his personality than anyone on the outside...
