He wants Rep. of China to invest in Singapore not Malaysia or Indonesia. His 'voice' is being ignored by the people in China. While China is the biggest important/profitable market and investors for Malaysia, Malaysia country has the edge for the rich Middle East investors and tourists too.
Singapore plays the word 'marginalized' to divert China attention and scare tactics to break Malaysia. Why Lew Kuan Yew is not longer relevant, his credibility has been questioned as hatred, appalling and lack of sensivity of asian sipit and liberty.
Dont understand why such country that claimed to be that developed and yet the mentality have showed to be the opposite? Moreover, Lee Kuan Yew does it best when he was in the Office to minorities in his own country!
Sad case.

If Singapore that fit as compared to Thailand and Malaysia, why during economic turmoil 1997/98 Singapore did suffer too? If Singapore that super strong, I am sure it would not happend! Duh!

Beg to differ LKY view:
Malaysia is a particularly bright spot (Forbes Rich list), turning out one-fourth of Southeast Asia's superwealthy, including six billionaires, among them Robert Kuok (Chinese), the region's richest individual, worth $4.1 billion followed by Ananda Krishnan (Indian) above Singapore's tech guru Sim Wong Hoo!
It clearly shows that Singaporeans depends on international multinationals for the economy and to make money!

Yet another hidden agenda behind the bashing you say. Yes and No. Well, anyway, people out there who do not understand deep enough about Malaysia-Singapore relationship stop commenting before trying hard enough to understand it first. You non-Asian posters knows nothing about Singaporean kiasu and kiasi mentality. Do you really know who LKY really is? Have you ever ask a non-bias Singaporean to tell you about him? If yet to do so, try and you will know what I'm trying to tell you. LKY is doing what he do best creating pyschologically and emotionally confusion among the Chinese community for the sake of its own country interest and to gain popularity. If he is for real, why didnt he do something when he is in office in the past protecting Chinese Singaporeans rights all the way before his own interest? Step aside, this issue is not a Singapore issue. Let the Malaysian solve their own challenge. The Chinese Malaysians may be marginalized in certain way, but what about Singaporean Malays that had been marginalized till this date? Did LKY, and the Singaporean PAP premieres do anything about it? Think again.

You dont know s.h.i.t man. Its right and not a secret that malaysia has double standards when it comes to ethnic issues! Get your basics right. And singapore is a much better place to invest in. Why? becoz SG is a much more mature and sophisticated economy and society compared to m'sia. Its so much more developed than all her neighbours. Of coz investors will choose Singapore. There is a reason why SG survived much of the 1997 financial crisis while all the rest of Southeast asia, HK and Korea suffered tremendously ok. And its not luck.
Obviously u dont know a thing so stop acting like you do, I wont even start on LKY coz who in the blue hell are u to be judging LKY? U're not fit.

LKY derserves the credit for building singapore to what it is today. virtually 0% unemployment, a budget surplus, an enviable defence force, political stability, prosperity, the world's best airport, one of the busiest sea port, a nation of harmonious people. compare that (and a whole lot more which i have not mentioned) with any nation, developed countries included and you will find very few will come close to the number of positives you can find in singapore. it may be a country where many human rights org find restrictive to their people but they all live happy and safe. there will always be controversial policies and laws that the other person will find stupid and ridiculous but if you really look into what results and benefits it will bring to the people and the country you will realise that it is mostly for the better. LKY has ruled with an iron hand during his term in govt. all because the nation was young and he needed to protect all the hard work that he and his govt and the people have put in to build the country. his alliances with other nations are also very strategic, be it economical or political. it is a small country with no natural resources. they need foreign investments. investors need a stable political climate and good infrastructure to invest. singapore has that. many neighbors are jealous. they have govts that are corrupt and haven't been doing enough to build their country to compete with singapore. they start bashing singapore. singapore bashes back. LKY is not someone who takes swipes sitting down. he will retaliate. so that's why he does what he does. and he does it best in south east asia.
