is there somthing i need to download so i can use my windows xp movie maker?
if so please help with telling me where to go to download it

What exactly is the problem? If it is asking for a audio codec then check your Audio device settings. A audio device is compulsory requirement for WinXP Movie Maker to start.

You can get the movie maker from Microsoft for free. If your having a problem with your current program, un-install it and then re-download it from Microsoft. While you are at it you may as well download Windows Defender as well.
