When you buy the fish you are going to have to feed it only every other day for the fist two weeks. You will also need to change the water a lot more often then normal with water that has been set out the night before to remove the chlorine. The tank (or bowl) needs to grow beneficial bacteria to convert the ammonia (fish waste) into nitrites and then into nitrates. Start with changing half the water every other day (twice), then 1/4 of the water every other day (twice), then 1/4 of the every third day (twice), and by then you should be fine with just the regular weekly water changes of 1/4 of the water.

you can get them at literally any pet store. Some pet stores have a wider variety of different kinds of fish than others, but every pet store will have some kind of fish. If you have a petland discounts or petco i know they have alot of fish

Any petstore probably has the goldfish you are looking for. You should get all the stuff to properly take care of them while you are at the pet store.

Petsmart is in most areas. www.petsmart.com

just about any pet store but look at the tanks they are in before you buy if the water does not look clear or you see dead fish floating in it i would not buy one I had a gold fish my kids won at the fair and it actually lived a few years till another child came over and fed it fruit loops.

I would suggest you look at The Yellow Pages for your area. There should be some pet stores in there, maybe.

First - shame on you for lying to her.

Second - go to a pet store. They have pets there which include fish.
