My best friend is naming their son Damon Malachi. I love it even though it is from children of the corn. It is a unique name. Go for it!

Umm, did you ever see or read Children of the Corn by Stephen King? Malachi was the name of one of the head evil children. Seriously when I hear this name I think of this evil psycho going off killing adults.

I love that name, My son is named Malacki as well. My son is for years old and he loves his name. My son is a very strong person and I think it is because of his name. When people say his name wrong just make sure you correct them. I don't have to do that anymore because my son does it for him self.
He goes by the nickname: Mal Mal or Kyi

I love this name! Always wanted to name my son this, but my husband hates it. It does kind of have an evil-cool connotation to me, as it was the name of the red-headed kid in Children of the Corn, but that kid turned out to be good in the end!
You could try spelling it "Malachai" and then maybe you wouldn't have quite so many people pronouncing it "ma-LAH-chee".
It's an angel name, though, for real. Go for it, and good luck!

A biblical name, and one that was popular over a 100 years ago, but has fallen out of favour. Too old fashioned for me, without having that ring of tradition.
