Usually used in reference to WW2, the 'Good War' is one conducted to deter a force intent on subjugation and economic/social/literal enslavement of the societies it conquers. Ideaology or control is the driving force behind military campaigns, with human dignity and productivity marginalized or completely ignored.

The 'Good War' is fought to defend the dignity, livelihood and future of one nation's populace in the face of an all-out assault aimed at exterminating or commandeering that nation, its people and resources.

No War is good war,in war there are no winners only loosers and worst of all the people that loose the most are !00% innocent woman and children.I don't have to tell you how much America did loose in this war along with poor Iraqi people. But looking on the other side of the coin GOOD WAR can be described as the war against cruelty, against poverty, against evil.and any inhumane cause. But then you don't use depleted uranium in your bullets.it could be fought in very peace full way too.

A good war, like a good fight, is fought in the interest of defending yourself and others. I don't advocate that we go to war at the drop of a hat, but there are some very bad people in this world who out of sheer hate will do very bad things to innocent people. They act like animals, and they should be treated as such.

A good war is a war conducted by the civilized, in the defense of civility and justice.

There is no such thing as a good war. The closest thing I can think of is people and governments solving their problems before the fighting starts.
