When the washer's water goes out it backs up into the hall bath tub, plus the commodes won't flush. And to add to the problem if someone is taking a bath at the time that the washer water is going out the water wont go out of the tub. ( I have two 1/2 baths) If there are any plumbers out there please respond with your expert advice. Let me add this, the problem didnt start until I hooked my washer up, everything was running, flushing, and going out fine, until the washer got to spinning and water was going out. Oh yes the kitchen sink gets wash water also. PLUMBERS PLEASE HELP ME, or at least tell me what you think the problem might be. I know there is a problem.

It sounds like your washing machine has too small a drain line or no vent through the roof. If your washer discharges directly into a pipe in the wall, this pipe must be 2" diameter and 30" tall before the P-trap. This is required to handle the volume of water discharged. Immediately after the P-trap you must have a 1 1/2" vent pipe through the roof.

Your washing machine could discharge into a properly installed laundry sink with no modifications to the drainage system.

A drain somewhere in your home is blocked or otherwise compromised. Have a plumbers fish passed through the pipes, and if that doesn't do the job 100% it may be worth it to call in a plumber who can do a camera inspection of the drain pipe. Don't bother with the chemicals to unclog drains for this type of situation.

The reason the washing machine triggered the problem is because the washing machine forcefully drains a huge amount of water very quickly. Even a tub drains water at a lower gallon-per-minute speed.

Good luck!

Sounds like your main drain line is plugged. You can look outside to see if you have what is called a clean out( a place for a plumber to have access to the pipe to clean it). If you can locate this remove the plug and see if water is standing in the pipe, if it is then you need to have the line cleaned. If you leave the plug out the water will come out here until you can have this done.

its obvious your drain is clogged.
Go to Home Depot and get a plumbers snake, then find your drain access outside-usually its near the front or side of house.Unscrew the top and run that snake as far as possible. that should take care of it unless there are a lot of trees and roots near your house than you might have a big problem

It sounds like a very nasty clog in a main pipe. And you may well wish for a plumber's assistance in getting rid of it.

Good luck!
