I have an Ultra Wash Kenmore dishwasher that is about 8 year old and is beige in color. The dishwasher sticks out like a sore thumb because all my appliances are black and white. I wanted to find a part to replace not just the outside frame of the dishwasher from beige to white. The problem is I don't have the tech manual for the washer and the only part number listed on the inside door are 3377825 and 2274666. I called Sears part center and they said they don't have enough information and would need to provide the model number which I don't know. Any advice how I can get the model number of the dishwasher, so I can ask Sears if they have a white color plate and outside frame?

If you have make , model, serial number you can go to a sears parts store and order what you need. Sears is great for carrying parts that you need or want for many years. We have an older riding tractor(lawn mower) and were able to find wiring harness and many other parts for it. The people that work there are quite knowledgeable. The plate with that information is usually located inside dishwasher door. Good luck.

If the frame is chrome or aluminum, you might be able to remove that trim and slide the beige metal out. Take it to an autobody shop and have it painted the color you want. I have done it with spray cans with good results, but the bodyshop can put on a more durable finish.

check the front, a lot of the dishwasher plates are removeable and the other side is a different color.

Remove the front plate. It will be a different color on the other side. Mine was white on one side and black on the other.
