It seems that people of color are the only ones that take pride in there beautiful skin tones. Knowing how bad sitting under the sun is and how harmful going to the tanning bed is for your skin, why do you do it? Just seeing how wrinkled and older paler skinned people look even at the age of 26 to 30 and then 40...... why do this to yourself. Looking pale isn't bad that's what you were born with.

theyre just weirdos! n wats even worse is when some of them use that tan lotion dye crap that makes them look orange with streaks n handprints! its so funny!

Because they want a nice golden tan in the summer time that their body produces naturally when encoutering the sun's rays and not the skin of blacks.

Good question. Jealous as I am of the perma-tans people indigenous to lands south of the equator tend to have, darker skin isn't worth melanoma.

Because its a sign of wealth, power and free time for white americans to tan. However if you go to Japan, people stay out of the sun and you only see forigners tanning out there. Why is this? Because in the U.S. if you're tanned that means you have a lot of money and yadayadayada. However if you see a japanese person with a tan, that means they work in the fields which is assosicated with poor education and a low class citizen. So to sum it all, it is to show your status on socio-economy ladder

Good question, not only does it ruin the skin by wrinkling, it also turns their skin orange and it looks very bad

Why do some black people perm and straighten their hair, or dye it blonde, or maybe even bleach their skin knowing its bad for them??
This can always work the other way around as well

Because they would really prefer having dark skin. Thats why they always be putting down blacks knowing full well they are actually jealous of our skin complexion.
