Mayonnaise
Angel Food cake
Hollandaise Sauce
Meringues
I 'm not trying to be funny . There is an amazing amount of science in the art of cooking. When you really thing about it , cooking was the first chemistry and physics experiments that people performed.
Make mayo as a demo and explain how it works. With mayonnaise there is also a biological component due to the fact that raw eggs can contain pathogens. There are two solutions to the problem either buy pasteurized in-shell eggs or pasteurized liquid eggs. So now you can demonstrate chemistry , physics and biology.
Check Alton Brown's books for good scientific explanations of how food works .
The best part of doing a food demo is that you can give out samples, which will make your project both memorable and popular.

Something that is pertinent to problems that we are dealing with today...like show something about alternative fuels. You can get this noticed and jazzed up in many different ways because you'll have a pick of gadgets to run with your alternative fuels.
...and yes--good luck!

from my experience in 10th grade last year, anything will be good. most eachers like to see that you understand what was supposed to be there and that they know it was done by you. not the school nerd or your parents.
