We all think our children are beautiful, but people have chased me down to point that out about my own child. She's five, loves posing, and the camera loves her. THis is not about what I want, but about paving a future financially for her. As we stand right now, there is no way I could afford college for her. I want to give that to her. I only plan to do it as long as she enjoys it. When it becomes anything more than fun, she's out. Where do I go though to start.

To do it in a way that you can actually earn money, you'll need to spend money.

Find a good photographer who can take pics of her, and build a portfolio. Then, you'll need to retain a talent agent...I certainly recommend that you find one who specializes in placing child models. From there, you'll need to go to auditions, as booked by the agent, until someone hires her for a shoot.

Good luck!

It depends on where you live. Look up KidBiz. They are reputable here in Seattle. The daughter of a friend of mine had her daughter with them and she did print work and tv and radio commercials. They put her $$ in a trust that only the child could access once she was 18 and she can use the money for college. No fees for portfolios or the agency. They get their fees from the advertisers.

There are child beauty peagants that are held throughout the country. They usually advertize in local papers. Everything else (modeling agencies, etc.) is a scam.

Seek medical help. Your projecting your sickness onto a child, who had no idea what the hell modeling is in the first place.

If you want to ensure a decent financial future for your child get a freaking education & earn some money.... Geesh!
