Absolutely they should. Are you suggesting that our invasion has created this? If so, you should take a closer look. The Iraqi government is running death squads, and over 100 people are being killed and tortured every day - 36,000 per year! That sure doesn't sound like "individual rights" or "restraint on those in power" to me.

Strange as it may seem, there are ways to accomplish things that don't involve dropping bombs on people. For instance, look at the radical transformation in China and the former Soviet Union - both of which were accomplished by trade and dialogue. This may not always work, but after four years, it's becoming increasingly clear that clubbing people into democracy is not an effective approach.

First set an example at home and then show it to Iraqi people how it is done.
