These two movies too similar. It's obvious that someone was ripped off, but who? I heard that Dreamworks stole the idea from the original writers after "rejecting" the script and Disney actually bought it legit. What's the real deal?

One of the main guys at Disney quit or got fired, went to work at Dreamworks. Disney and Pixar specially use to plan movies with years ahead of time, so this guy knew about A bug's life, Dreamworks Antz came little bit before, they copied the main idea. Finding Nemo, DreamWorks copy a little bit of the idea and came up with Shark Tale. The most obvious is Madagascar and The Wild. It's been said that Shrek was made because of Monsters, Inc.

Disney had the idea years ago, but one of the guys that used to work at Disney quit took his ideas to Dreamworks. They pumped out some cheap *** movies, so they could get them into the theaters first, so they could beat Disney. So it looked like Disney was the copy cat.

I'm not sure but my brother loves these 2 movies..they look the same but of the course they have different stories. But from what i understand is that they both have to do with animals escaping from a zoo,( may i add the same zoo by the way) in new york city. Long story short the animals start in the zoo and end in a jungle, in both movies!! People find nothing rong with these 2 movies but i'd like to think otherwhise. It was a rip off, now i might not no who ripped of who but by watching these to movies personally i can say they are both the same!!! hoped i helped even though i probably didnt haha. bye

Yep. Pretty much a rip off somewhere. You should feel sorry for me , i had to sit through both of them with the kids!!! Madagascar was quite good and the penguins made the movie that much better. The wild on the other hand sucked-----BIG TIME.

I agree whole heartedly. That's why I'm not goign to see The Wild. And the characters look the same! They could at least used different animals.

well i think disney made that movie because they arn't creative anymore i mean all they make are sequeals to old movies, all the good movies and made from smaller companys grouping with disney

I noticed that too! It's rediculous! Neither were very good either.
