Okay, so I have an old laptop, and it's not wi-fi ready, I have to buy one of those cards so it will read a wireless router, but I am having a total brain fart and can't think of what it's called. It's that card thing that you stick in the side of the laptop. HELP!

Wireless PC card (aka PCMCIA - that's the old term).
You can also try USB wireless ones.

Get a Netgear USB wireless adapter.
Dont mess with PCMIA

Hmm, old laptop. If running win95 or 98, ya might not get a USB wifi adapter to work. If ya run win98SE, it might. Win2K or WinXP - yeah, USB wifi. Check prices on ebay etc...

It's cheaper to get the USB wireless. Network interface card? "NIC"

PCMCIA. note: there are 2 types of these so check it first before buying a WIRELESS NOTEBOOK ADAPTER. try the D-LINK's DWL-G630
