When we had a combi boiler we were advised against a power shower as the water pressure would not be enough. Best to get an electric shower that heats the water itself.

£3200 sounds like a good price to me.

No sorry. If you need hot water generally combi systems are shite!

As for £3200 for such a budget system, this sounds a bit steep.

Unless you are about to move on and leave some other poor sap with a crappy combi system, get a proper system with a proper boiler, it WILL cost more, but you'll be glad you spent the extra money in the longer run.

I presume you mean a power shower on its own system,ie; one that has only a cold water connection and it heats its own cold water, thats ok.
If you mean off the combi then get a mixer tap with a seperate shower hose connection.
Is the £3200 just for radiators and how many? That determines to cost. If its just for rads the its dear but remember under new regs there is a lot of wireing and earthing. The gas meter has to be earthed to the mains in electrical supply, it all adds up and distances are a major factor..

If by 'power shower', you mean a pumped shower the answer is no. You will have mains pressure available for a conventional thermostatic shower instead. You can't fit a pump to a combi outlet. You don't say how big your house is, but the price seems a bit on the high side! Is that including the boiler/ VAT???

No but you can get a reasonably powerful shower that runs of the combi system.

Get 3 or 4 written quotes for prices and then decide. If they are all pretty similar go with the one you felt spoke the most sense

You can not have a shower with a pump, it is illegal to pump the water main the boiler has enough power to give you a good shower you only require a thermostatic shower Trevi make good showers so do Mira. they both make showers for combi boilers Ive just installed a 7 radiators with a 37kw Vaillant combi boiler for £2800
this was a two bedroom house.

showers run by a combi are a lot better than a power shower.part two depends on how large a house you are fitting the system to.
