Go on. I believe in miracles, because I have seen them happen. The brain has unfathomable power over the body. Try using positive imagery. Not to say it will eradicate, but may alleviate some of the pain. There is beauty in every day... try to find the beauty.
Take time daily to meditate. Get the help of someone who can hypnotize you to a meditative state where you can picture yourself pain free and being cared for. I will shine a white light of protection around you and hope my extension of love will ease some of your pain.
My mother kept Parkinson's disease at bay for 15 years by telling herself she didn't have it. She lived with the horrible disease for 25 years when finally she was too tired to fight anymore, God rest her soul. Back then Pac-man was popular. She would meditate and picture Pac-men as good cells chomping up all the bad cells in her body. She did this for an hour daily and it worked by gosh!
Not to minimize, but we all live with pain in some shape or form in our lives... sooner or later. It's how we deal with it that builds our character and makes us strong.

If the pain were from a terminal illness, and I had no hope of recovery, I'd go the Kevorkian route, definately. However, if I had a hope of cure, I'd keep on keeping on. It'd be tough, and I'm not saying I wouldn't get depressed, but if there's hope I'd tough it out somehow. Thank gawd for modern pain killers!

I would just go on. Sometimes life seems unfair and down the road we lose faith, we lose the track of our lives, we wonder what did we do wrong? Why do we suffer the way we do? Just have faith. I believe in Angels. Just ask them to help you ease your pain and they will intercede.

I would try to keep going for as long as I could, but I guess it would wear me down eventually, so I would take a trip to Switzerland.
