You have nothing to fear. The Missles will blow up your insignificant worthless little country before you have time to worry about anything.

It's a genuine pity that some people who answered this question took the view that the questioner was a person not worthy of a reasoned, considered answer. (He's probably a young man trying to be a macho in the face of probable hostile comments.)

Anyway, I am not a Muslim, neither am I an apologist for any Islamic maniacs, especially as I was only a few minutes away from being inside No 1 Tower of the World Trade Center on 9/11 - so don't come back at me and call me an Islamic sympathiser. I'm not.

But I try not to paint every body with the same brush of hatred so common amongst many of the respondents on these topics.

I know several Iranians, now living in the West, who are as fed up with the regime in Tehran as any body from New York or London, and they are not unusual in feeling that way. Why do you think there are around 275,000 Iranians living in California alone?

And unlike many US people on this site, whose ability to express themselves in their mother tongue is not too praiseworthy, these Iranian 'ragheads', as some so ignorantly call them, are exceedingly well educated. All of them speak at least three languages (one speaks four) and are highly qualified in scientific fields. Indeed, one of them is working at the forefront of cancer research in one of Europe's most prestigeous research centres.

So instead of regurgitating the usual 'Let's nuke 'em'' rhetoric so beloved of a certain type of macho responder, why not try to get your politicians to engage in dialogue with those whom you seem to hate so much.

I recall during the days following 9/11 talking to many New Yorkers whose immediate reaction was (quote) 'We should nuke the whole of the Middle East'. When I pointed out that Israel was in the target area they'd just suggested, they looked suitably stupid. But, then, geography is not the average American's strong point...

If Islamic and Western cultures do not do something soon to lessen the tensions between them, then Western society will be under threat for decades to come.

I apologise if I have come over as too liberal (hardly the standpoint of a long service air force vet, and of some one who might have been 9/11 victim!), but we've all got to try to bring things to a calmer state before some one really does decide to have a go at Tehran...

I won't be surprised to learn you're a Zionist masquerading as Iranian...I don't like Bush for all the mass killings and destruction that his administration has brought, and the fact that he has forsaken the ordinary Americans even more than other presidents, but having said this I dislike 'munaafeghs' a lot more...

Comletely. It took some guts for Ahmadinejad (A) to walk into the lions den of politics, governed by USA, and to say his opinions. I am British, and I hate to say it, but we are under America's thumb big style. The whole world is.

Brave or crazy. It took guts to come to America and beard the lion in its den so to speak. He earned my respect, but I still distrust and dislike him.
Bush isn't stupid, misguided maybe, but he has our best interest at heart. Just not YOUR best interest. Shalom.
