It has not been proven to be natural or biological. it could very well be a mental disorder...ehy do we consider this notion bogus. Petafiles are seen as mentally ill people. A lot of people that consider thmselves gay or bisexual have a history of sexual abuse...this is a fact....and why is it a fad for girls to be bisexual. I heard something like 35% of girls 18-21 consider themselves bisexual in US colleges

Questioning homosexuality is not wrong. I think it is important that we argue the points of any controversial subject intellectually without hatred. We can question the morality of homosexuality without personally attacking the individual. I realize this is a thin line we tread, but necessary in order to persuade other intellectuals to our point of view.

It's not wrong to question homosexuality. People question it all the time. It IS silly, however, to question if it is a mental disorder considering it has been decided that it is NOT.
There's an extremely controversial opinion amongst some mental health professionals that pedophilia is not actually a mental disorder since the ill effects of their actions do not affect themselves but other people.
Many people who consider themselves straight have suffered sexual abuse. Is heterosexuality now to be questioned?
The fad of bisexuality seems to infect people at the time in their lives when the most questioning of themselves occurs. It also suggests that homosexual behavior, if a mental problem, is pandemic. If sexual trauma induces homosexuality, then there's a lot of pedophiles creating a lot of homosexuals. At a rate of 35%, this would be a staggeringly high number of people with mental disorders, making the fact of having the mental disorder not seem so terribly uncommon.....almost...normal?
Homosexuality is not a mental disorder. The guys who decide what is and isn't a mental disorder said so. For me, their opinion and research matters a lot more.

It is not wrong to question anything. I think it's right to question EVERYTHING. Especially in today's society, with the media being what it is.
Homosexuality was considered a mental disorder and in the DSM as one until 1975. The difference from pedophiles is that homosexuality is between 2 consenting adults. Children do not understand about those things and when someone has sex with a 5 year old it really ***** them up. If 2 adults of the same gender want to have sex what's the big deal? They aren't hurting anyone.
I know plenty of gay people who have successful careers and relationships and are happy. In no way do they portray characteristics of someone who is mentally ill. How many gay people have you known much about? Would you say Ellen Degeneres, Tracy Chapman, or Barry Manilow were mentally ill?

Just because someone was sexually abused does not make them mentally ill. 1 out of 3 women in the US are raped in their lifetime, but do you honest believe they are all mentally ill or gay? No.
"why is it a fad for girls to be bisexual?" because our society encourages it.

I do not think it is wrong to ask questions about others but I guess I can see how others may be offended. I have a mental illness and it is something I did not chose for myself. It is a biological illness just like diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, etc. Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice not an illness.

Who says it's wrong to question homesexuality? I don't think it is wrong to question it. In my humble opinion I don't believe it to be a matter of nature, biology or mental illness as some claim. Rather I believe it is a matter of choice in that sexually a person prefers to be with someone of the same sex.
I have know many lesbians who say honestly after being with men they simply prefer other women. They don't claim to have been born that way as many homosexual males do.

I'm surprised you can operate your prehensile tail swiftly enough to find the facts - or perhaps "facts" - on bi college girls and allegedly sexually abused homosexuals, but can't be bothered to look up the proper spelling of "pedophile" or do the most basic research on the physical and genetic causes of homosexuality.
Homosexuality was declassified as a mental disorder several decades ago because psychiatrists, psychologists and other medical doctors realized it wasn't one. And that, my simian chum, IS a fact.

I guess it's not wrong to question anything. But look at it logically. In nature we see homosexual behavior (ever seen male dogs humping each other?). I really don't think it's a mental disorder. But I'm not a medical researcher or scientist or anything. I'm also not a religious fanatic. I've known many homosexuals and they don't seem to be mentally ill (most of them) They just seem to be people that want to live their lives just like everyone else.

I don't think it is wrong to question homosexuality. We shouldn't treat homosexuals badly. Like some get beat up or killed for their ways. God will judge them and it's not up to us to do that.

It is not wrong to question, it is wrong to judge something you don't understand. You need to check your facts and your spelling.
