I find it highly amusing myself.Do you think he is justified in what he is doing to all these oil companies? I mean it is venezuelas oil yes? So that gives him the right doesnt it?

Chavez was calling for a flat rate of $50 per barrel in oil this sounds good to us now because it would lower oil prices however, they have different oil in south America than the middle east, it costs Venezuela $35 per barrel to extract middle east oil companies can profit if the oil is as low as 25 per barrel. If we drop oil to below $35 per barrel, Chavez goes back to being some backwater, third world Banana Republic and Citgo goes back to being the cheap gas

Hi. Chavez HATES us and will sell all the oil in Venezuela to even a lower bidder. Not to sound unpatriotic but if the USA can embrace the communist Chinese government then why can we not start relations with Cuba? This would ease some of the "bully" image we have, and maybe ease some tensions.

United states should also consider Nationalizing all oil fields.Because the wealth of the nation should belong to all Americans equally.Would you not like to be the part of the action???

If nationalizing the oil companies is the answer, I guess he is doing the right thing.
Has nationalizing any industry helped us in the past? Does it lead to more efficiency or cheaper prices? Can't think of any.
Do you think this will help with his country's 85% poverty rate??

He's hurting his own country for political gain. It's wrong. It's the common Venezuelan worker that will suffer for it, not Chavez himself. Personally speaking, I'm no longer purchasing any gas from CITGO because of him!
