There's no quick, temporary fix.......you must be selling your home right? For permanent reduction/removal, a radon venting system has to be installed. It's basically a pipe through a hole in the basement, through the foundation and ground, that runs up through the attic to the outside, using a small exhaust fan to help facilitate exhaust.

If you're looking to cheat a test (even though you wouldn't be doing that, right?), the canister-type tests take 2 days, so someone sets them up, hands you a notice to not open doors and windows for 2 days, then comes back later to pick them up. If you "temporarily" exhaust your basement during the test (i.e., open doors and windows, open basement entrance(s), use fans, etc.), the results will show lower levels (milli-Curies) of radon. If you're levels are already really high (>1000), then there's probably no quick-fix.

just take a deep breath and try to relax.. Call your dr first thing in the morning and let them know...they will more than likely have you do a urine test to see how much protein is in your urine...Like the previous answerer said, take some tylenol and try to get some rest...you will have a headache from the high BP... this happened with me, but i was only about 32 weeks, so after bed rest for 4 weeks, i was induced...since this is the first time, it could just be your body getting ready for delivery and it can send your BP up...i know you dont want to hear this, but worrying doesnt help...it makes it worse. Good luck!

Air out your house, particularly your basement area. Seal any cracks in the basement walls, and seal the joint between the floor and the wall. Use a sealer like dryloc on the walls to prevent infiltration through them. And finally you can apply the garage floor paint on the basement floor to seal the floor. After these steps, it gets more expensive to fix the problem.

Check the Holmes on Homes website. I seen that on one of his shows. I bet you could find more info there. That or This Old House.
