smith is very close to a comeback and i believe that SAF is gonna use him as a striker this time around. it annoys me when people call him a traitor because if he didn't go to the highest bidder the team he loves could well of gone bankrupt. and if there fans don't start marching on together they still might 24000 empty seats against top of the league? disgracefull for a big club.

As far as I know he is very close to a 1st team comeback after badly breaking his leg playing for man utd v liverpool last season.

He is one of the most committed, whole-hearted players I have ever had the honour of watching play.

As a Leeds United supporter, it broke my heart when he joined man utd, but he still remains my no 1 player and I really hope that one day he will come back to Elland Road and wear the white shirt of Leeds once again.

I love Alan Smith!

He has been training more and more. I think he should begin coming on as a sub soon. He is coming off a pretty abd injury. Earlier it was said he would be out until January, now he seems back far ahead of that. United need him to give a good alternative to Saha.

Alan Smith deserted Leeds when they went into relegation and went to play for arch-rival Manchester United. He did this supposedly so that he could play for England...Hmmm...funny but I don't remember seeing him on the squad??
And this from a guy who once said, 'that he would die for Leeds.'
