They have all your personal info, Driver's license number, Soc. Sec. number, home address, telephones, who you've bought from, loaned to or from, too much information for one entity to have, and yet no one says our privacy has been violated, and anyone with a couple of bucks can get this information from them without your consent.

I think that credit scores and credit reporting is a form of Economic Discrimination and should be illegal. It's only because most people are in the situations they are in due to financial hardships, and not being deadbeats.

Pay with Cash. Quit yer biatching. If you don't need them, then don't use them. Nobody makes you use them, you choose to by wishing to get credit from someone. How messed up would the economy be if nobody had a central repository for credit worthiness. It may be unfair, but its your choice to get credit.

All of that, and to make matters worse if there is a problem it is very difficult to actually get it fixed.

I don't argue that they are needed. However, they should be required to actually NOTIFY you when you are reported and offer you the opportunity to dispute at that time.

i'm with you. it would seem as tho you should be able to protect your privacy but we can't. it's like hiding from the govt...doesn't work
