I think overall Chipper is a more complete player, but David Wright has more of an upside!! Chipper's better days are behind him!!

As a die hard Mets fan and a huge David Wright fan and being a guy who HATES the Braves and Chipper Jones, I still have to say that Chipper Jones is the better player. Right now, at this point in their careers, Chipper is hurt and David is just blossoming, so David is better right now.
David will have to be consistent like he is and continue to have the 25-30 HR and 100+RBI seasons that Chipper was able to put up year after year until you can say he is better.

David Wright. Chipper is a great player, but he HAS been better. While Chipper is only going downhill from here, Wright's stock is through-the-roof. It's kind of hard to even compare the two right now because while Wright is in his prime, Jones has been in the league for about 15 years...

Have to give David Wright several more years experience before you could compare him to Chipper Jones. There are a lot of similarities between the two except for experience right now however I would take Wright because of his age.

OMG!!!!!! David Wright by far is the better player now. I had season tickets for the mets farm team 2 years agoin norfolk. He is a beast! When Chipper was younger, maybe he could give Wright a run for his money but I still believe that Wright is a better ball player. And what is he? 23 years old!!! Lots to come from Mr. Wright.

I am a huge Mets fan and quite clearly I hate Atlanta Braves. Chipper is a good player but David is simply better. David's still very young so there's a lot more coming from him. If David's keep going on like he goes on now, Chipper will have nothing on him.

you're comparing a veteran to a newbie. if i had to choose one right now i'd take wright because of his upside. but he has a way to go before he proves he's as good as chipper in the long run.
