anyone know a real solution to hot flashes without going onto a medicine that will probabally kill you with cancer after being on it for a while.

Please, before trying ANY herbal supplement, check with your physician. Many herbal products can actually cause harm if you are on certain prescription medications (adverse reactions).

There are a lot of herbal products. Black Cohosh, Evening Primrose help. And you can look online or in the store at the other different products they have. I have a Puritan's Pride Catalog in front of me and they have something called "Flash Fighters" although I haven't tried that. Order yourself a catalog from a few different places and look to see what you think would work best for you. Good luck.

Soy. My vegetarian friend is nearly 60 and never had a hot flash. I don't think I've ever had one either, and I'm over 50.

I believe that black cohosh is good for hot flashes. go to a good health food store and they will have a selection of vitamins and herbs for menopausal stuff. good luck!
