It's not about what other people think it's about what's right for you. You should not or do not have to explain yourself to anyone. They do not know what it is like to take care of someone who is not at least 90% healthy. I pray that your girlfriend is doing okay and tell her not to worry about everyone else.

Been there and your wrong. It's not church people who you promised your life and vows to. It was your spouse and god. (and I am not a religious person) You have no right to abandon your spouse in there time of need. You gave your word and should honor it.

Watched over and stood by my wife for 6 years while breast cancer took over, doctors hacked her up, and finally I buried her. Not one second did I ever consider abandoning her. I gave my word to her the day I married. I am proud to say I had the integrety to stand by my promise.

Please re-examine your promise. It was and is your promise and says everything about you. Worry not about what a church or friend may think. Worry about the thought you'll live with for the rest of your life knowing you abandoned your promise and love when it meant the most.

First of all, you need to calm yourself down. I thought that it was just me, but after reading other comments to you, honey, no one can understand what you are talking about. Maybe if you repost, you will get the answer that you are looking for. It is always difficult to be in a relationship, but just coming out of one can be a mindblowing numbing process. Take your time in finding what you are looking to say, and maybe then we can all help a little bit more. Good luck and God Bless.
