He just died of a massive heartattack. I just spoke to her on the phone and she is very upset. What can I say or do? I am her best friend and I want her to know that I'm here for her.

words offer little comfort at this time.
offer your help on the funeral and when you say her, give her a big hug. basically just be there for her.

Just be there for her. Listen to her, let her cry on your shoulder, cry with her. Just be the Best Friend you are. She knows you love her but just remind her. There is nothing you can say or do to make her feel better. You can talk about things her dad used to do that made you both laugh. Things like that help, but nothing takes away that pain.

Caution: Dont try to make her feel that u r becoming a father figure over her.
Just be in ur limits. Console her, ask her how it happened but be in your limits, dont try to act as an intelligent kinda person and very much concerned about her future.

Just give her time to grieve and encourage her to talk about her Dad. Listen and ask questions about him when she mentions different things.

Then you tell ehr that.

"I am here for you. If you want to talk about anything, you can rely on me."
