The Sweetheart Plant (green)or Pothos aureus (with yellow or white splotches) is an evergreen which can be trained to either climb or trail. Needs light but not direct sun. These plants are one of the easiest to look after.Let dry out between watering. They like deep watering. For deep watering fill a container with about 1 liter water with seven drops of liquid fertilizer with room enough to hold the flower pot.The water/fertilizer mixture should not reach the top rim of the flower pot. This way the roots of the plant can soak up the water. When the soil looks moist on the top the watering is finished. It takes about an overnight soaking.

I find that bamboo is a great indoor plant. Mine have all grown much more than I expected and they are pretty easy to grow. Keep them in either water or moist soil. Don't put them in direct sunlight. Fluorescents work great; the ones in my cube grow pretty well and are sprouting all over. (Search for lucky bamboo)
I used to have spider plants in the office. They were pretty hardy and did great for a long time. Then I switched cubes and my once hardy plants slowly withered away. Give a spider plant a try. It might thrive.

the best plants for indoors that dont need alot from you are without any dought are Cati! although spider plants do very well indoors water once a weak high light and leave them alone, they will take care of themselves. you could also try bonsai trees little water and they will do ok ,do need trimmed every now and again.most indoor plants dont require alot from people as people would think ,just water them when you think that they need it,make sure they have sun light , and leave them alone, and your plant will live a long time

Perhaps you should consider artificial? Sounds like you may not have a lot of time to look after live plants.???
Otherwise, and depending on the light available in your home.... pick varieties that do not need too much water - anything with a thick leaf.

Get some pothos plants. Mine have endured years of abuse and they never die. Another cool thing about them is that you can cut part of the vine off, put it in a glass of water, wait for it to root, then just plant it.

you received't have a lot success turning out to be flowering flora interior as they require genuine image voltaic and are not likely to flower. try an outstanding eco-friendly Kentia palm. Take the palm outdoors each once in a lengthy time period and hose it down with water to bathe airborne dirt and mud off and freshen it up somewhat.
