I adore the Buffy the vampire Slayer album. There are some amazing, fairly unknown bands on that album, and it changes its mood throughout. Some songs are very upbeat, some quite melodic, others very instumental. Your moods actually changes with the albums beat and tempo.

Carole King's "Tapestry". Why? Because it's comfort listening material, many songs from the album have been covered by other artists, and simply because it's wonderful. And no, it's not hippy music! lol
