Go to download.com and use a voice stripper (usually used for karaoke). That way you can use your favorite song.

You can try classical or jazz, which usually have no words. You don't want to play something that will distract your audience from listening to your poem, which should be the focus of your presentation. Consider the mood of your poem and get a song that matches. Is it happy, sad, funny, scary, etc...

I think a lot of the songs on the album "Colma" by Buckethead would do well with a poem, and it would be more original than having classical music that the teacher may already know.

Song for Guy by Elton John is a good choice.
It's a piano tune and only in the end does Elton sing "Life... There's a time for everything... ing...".
