Do you remember when Bush was up for election? Right before that Hussein was captured. Then when Bush's popularity was way down the number 1 (or2) man in the Taliban was captured. Now elections are rolling around again and gas is down. I'll bet before the next presidential election Bin Laden will be captured. Even though Bush is not running it will help the Republican party.
Makes sense right?

In all likelihood it might have a lot to do with Bush’s connection in the oil and gas industry, considering that it is very convenient that gas prices are plummeting just in time for an election

I think if people truly attribute the oil supply costs decreasing as a result of Bush’s efforts it is actually more of a liability for him than an asset. Any thinking person can put two and two together and can see that if Bush can do this for political gain, then he always had the power to do reduce oil prices but refused, waiting instead for the politically opportune moment. Thus he allowed American’s to waste money unnecessarily. Let’s just hope that American people are sensible enough to see through the charade.

Are you libs really that stupid?
#1 Oil is a COMMODITY. Prices are set by COMMODITIES BROKERS.

#2 There has NOT been a devastating hurricane, much to the chagrin of the envrio-wackos and the left wing biased media, so there for, the surplus is being "tapped"

#3 If GW HAD to power to control gas prices, and rake in the profits as you Bush haters believe, the price of oil would by exorbitant.

I belive that the oil industry is trying to protect future profits and subsidies by easing gas prices now. Once election day passes they will make up the difference and then some, and if the Republicans retain control, then they will have won.

When I'm in the voting booth, the main things I'll be thinking about are IRAQ and KATRINA.

No ... not really

Just follow the price of crude on the global open market, -and that pretty much reflects the price of gasoline. The tartget price that OPEC stated 3 years ago was $30 / barrel. The price of crude is up to like, $72 / barrel.

Yes ha has a long stick stashed in the White house, whenever election time rolls around (even though he is not in it) he drives around to all of the gas stations and changes the price.

He is a very craft man after all, he cannot seal the US border but he has the power to change gas prices at will. Spooky isn't it.

Absolutely. After you vote Democratic on election day, fill up everything you own that takes gas that afternoon. It'll be $3.50 for regular at Christmas no matter who wins.
Bush may be an idiot, but his friends in the oil industry who give him his marching orders are evil geniuses.

I believe they have to do with the primaries coming up in November.
Many ppl forget that this is where the Bush family made their money-in oil. So if it has anything to do with him, then I guess it does.
