I presume you mean they are all organs. This is because they each perform a specialised function - kidneys filter the blood to remove waste products, lungs are responsible for respiration and skin has several functions. These are forming a barrier against infection, excretion of urea (in small amounts: this why sweat smells horrible), helps regulate body temperature, provides sensory information about the outside world through touch (nerve endings in skin) and yes, it keeps your insides in!
Skin is pretty amazing stuff.

They all act as filters eliminating wastes. Skin expells sweat as waste, also excess salt. Lungs filter through chemicals and kidneys are also filters. All three are helping to keep our systems clean so that we can function properly.

i think its because they all play a role in EXCRETION, along with the liver and the colon.
skin gets rid of some urea with water, lungs of carbon dioxide and the kidneys of urea, water...not really sure what else...
