It's ProActiv and the main ingredient is benzoyl peroxide. If you aren't allergic/senstive o benzoyl peroxide, it may work for you.
They also have a Salicylic Acid version. I think it's their body scrub. Some people respond better to this. But again others are allergic/sensitive to it.
Best way to get good looking skin is to change your diet and go natural. Eat high fiber foods like oatmeal and prunes. Go easy on animal proteins and substitute with high Omega fat foods like fish and nuts. If you are clean on the inside, it will show on the outside.
I don't recommend putting chemicals that your can't pronounce onto their skin on a daily basis.
Be weary of Dermatologists who prescribe toxic drugs. Don't put all your faith in western medicine.

Proactiv works on some people and not on others. It depends on your skin type and how severe your acne is. I use Proactiv and it has been shrinking my acne and leftover scars. But just as one size doesn't fit all, one bottle doesn't fit all. My advice would be to see what works for you. Have you tried brands like Neturogena, Clean and Clear, etc.? They all have salicylic acid in them which fights acne. If this doesn't work then try Proactiv. The main ingredient in that is benzoyl peroxide. Try finding a drugstore brand that has benzoyl peroxide in it and if it works then invest in that. Good luck! I hope you find something.

It works, but then when you stop, your skin gets even worse! It's like your skin is addicted to the stuff and then goes through withdrawal.

Don't do it. I heard it strips all the essential oils out of your skin. Then your skin goes into overdrive with oil production. The squeeky clean feeling is not good for your face.
