Well, the Carpathia carried those that were recovered to New York where, as you said, they were tied in the dock where Titanic was to dock. As other answers have said, they were repainted and distributed to other ships. A few apparently "went missing", but i'm not sure how accurate that is. Also, a few months later a ship came across one of the few lifeboats that weren't recovered. It had the bodies of three people, each unidentifyable. the bodies were buried at sea, and the lifeboats burned out of repect.

I don't think there are any lifeboats in the original condition or remaining from Titanic, I'm affraid the only boats left are the props from James Cameron's movie...

I hope this has helped :)

Many of them were destroyed. Some had the Titanic name sanded off immediately, as the White Star Line was a bit "embarassed" you may say about the whole deal. It also served as a grim reminder to the survivors and families of the deceased. I read this in a book once as I was fascinated by the ships history. I thought it would have been an historic item, but sadly they are all gone. Some pieces of debris that washed ashore was turned into items, a chess board for examply, but this was done by ordinary civilians, not anyone professionally associated with the White Star Line

each and each of the above solutions are real, and that i agree, in spite of the indisputable fact that it will be remembered that an identical is real with any technological boost, or inspite of any disaster. contained in the '50s, there turned right into a string of injuries with the first modern jet airliners, the British Comets. it really is at the same time as engineers first found out about barometric stress and cracking airframes. try determining what number plane pilots died earlier parachutes were conceived and perfected. somewhat appropriate, there turned right into a yet another deliver sinking contained in the mid-'70s off the U. S. East Coast -it turned right into a service service deliver, no longer a 5000-passenger liner- the position practically each and each of the crew died of chilly earlier being rescued [sorry, do not shop in ideas the call]. After that changed into at the same time as the Coast guard required ships to carry particular chilly-water immersion ["survival" matches]. So yeah, i'ts a hassle-free topic that it takes a disaster to make human beings comprehend that there;s an issue and locate a answer.

I think I read somewhere once that the lifeboats were most likely reused on another White Star Line ship after the accident, but nobody is really quite sure what the exact fate of those boats were.

The Titanic life boats were quickly repainted and reused on other White Star line ships. There aer not records to show which ships got them, or where they ended up.
