my 3 year old's father (my husband, whom i'm seperated from) has not given me one red cent since baby was born. he rarely calls...and when he does, he puts me down like i'm a bad mother and tells me to send baby to canada to stay with him half the year (he's not crazy?) i just want to know how a man can not care for his own child (call, send money, send b-day cards, etc.) then turn around and say that they love baby sooo much, to the point of crying about not seeing the baby. i'm confused.

Unfortunately, you created a child with a loser. YOU chose him, and now YOU have to suffer the consequences. You need to retain an attorney and go after your ex for child support, but this won't be easy. Good luck.

we don't know if his intentions are because you dumped him, or had another, when he thought he was the only one. he may figure in his own mind that someone else is providing. for whatever reason you're not going to the courts with this, that's why. no wool over my eyes, sorry. i'm not picking sides, peaky-boo, i can see through you! he cries that is his guilt. you don't let him see his child. you want the mighty dollar, he wants to give it directly to the kid, in the form of love, that his family and himself can provide. if he has money and you begin to be a bit more civil, perhaps he'll pay up. i don't feel the makings of a dead beat, we don't know everything, except he's in canada, which is beautiful and travel does a child a lot of learning first hand about our world, how lucky. we also know you are a provider or the provider as are so many women, and you let the baby live, for that, you are gracious, God bless you. i feel there is much hope, that this baby will have mama and papa...

Listen, this man is going to drive u crazier than what u currently feel, so get a career, if your single, u find financial aid, and sometimes its free to u. Then study hard and work hard. Make enough money to support ur baby and urself. Become stronger and more independient. Dont ever think u need a man to deal with ur problems, men can care less.

If you want support, go to your local courthouse, the child support enforcement office. They will help you fill out the forms and for a one time fee of $25.00 they will fight for you. You don't need to be divorced or have an existing order. (And if you don't have one, that may be why he isn't willing to pay you. Some guys have to be "forced".) You will need to call frequently to make sure your case isn't overlooked or allowed to be stagnant. They generally will collect when you provide good information. Good Luck!

He hasn't given you anything because you ha vent went to court and got an order for him too! Not all fathers will just do this because. Go to court and see what they can do for you. And don't be confused honey, all he is trying to do is make you feel guilty. Don't cave in!
