The answer is 5.

Using the following mapping:
A = 1, B =2, ... , Z = 26

19 = S
5= E
17 = Q
21 = U
5 = E
14 = N
3 = C

So next letter is E, which is 5.

You need to start exploring the relationships from one number to another. Ask yourself...why does the number 5 appear twice in the sequence? Is that significant? What is happening with the numbers in between the fives?

It's a code. Replace each number with it's corresponding letter in the alphabet...

(if you had simply put that sequence into quotes and put that into Google, you would have discovered the answer yourself)

There are infinitely many possibilities. My guess is -492.00005, because one possibility is the sequence is given by a polynomial of the 6th degree whose coefficients are

C0 = -102.0000528 (independent)
C1 = 364.6501213
C2= -397.05288
C3 = 195.7500416
C4= -47.69445322
C5 = 5.600000924
C6= -0.252777816 (6 th degree)
