If you have black mold growing, it very well could be a serious health risk to you. You should contact the owner/landlord, and have it checked. If it is Stachybotrys, you should move out ASAP, as it is toxic. It can cause serious respiratory problems. If businesses get this stuff growing, they are typically closed down by the health department until it is cleaned up.

Regardless, if you are renting from an apartment complex, they are responsible to clean it, not you. They own the property. It may involve tearing out wall and/or carpet even. . And they very well BETTER clean it, or you have serious grounds for a personal lawsuit, as their negligence in cleaning poses a health risk to you and everyone living in the residence. Either way, get it tested and demand another apartment if need be. Don't mess around with black mold.

I would move if it were possible. But you need to get the apartment manager in there to see what is going on. They may just give you the runaround. So, I would find out who to call in your area who can tell you what kind of mold it is and if it is dangerous. If it is, it seems like the apartment complex would be responsible for helping you get out of there.

talk to your landlord about it first. try to come to terms on what should be done to clear/clear it up. if its too bad or affecting your health you might want to move.
