it's a pleasant sound, or good words. it just makes you feel good the same way fingernails on a chalkboard make you cringe.

I don't know. I get a similar thing. Some songs are just so good that the little hairs at the base of my neck stand up and a shiver goes down my spine and tears prickle in my eyes. I did a yahoo search with the keywords "physiological reaction music" and came up with several websites that might give you more information, including the link below.

I believe that certain songs hold memories and feelings you have that can come to mind when you hear the lyrics. Even the tune alone can bring back memories of a time when you heard the song.
My friend Louise says someone with a great voice, who seems to you to be enjoying what they're doing and feels passionate about what they do.

When you experience this, you're experiencing a song that is truly aesthetic and full of subconscious signals that you may not directly interpret, but somehow you're affected. The truly gifted musicians know how to create this kind of effect on people.

Oh Yes, Music could do that do you, sometimes music could make me cry, laugh, I think it is the feeling we sense the singer puts into the music that affects us also, you could tell they are singing from the heart.

Because music is that way. And songs usually play on the emotions. I feel you on this one.

i agree, songs can envoke so many emotions! have you ever listened to a song you used to listen to a lot but haven't heard in awhile? it takes you straight back. i always feel like that when i listen to 90s music. it puts me in a good mood because it reminds me of good times. :)
