I'm not extremely shy but am somewhat of an introvert. If I trust her I would be less shy with her than with other people, but that depends on the cause of the shyness. Personally, I would just be direct and tell her, or write her a letter. But every guy is different, some may start conversations on personal relationships or marriage, perhaps give her gifts, some may never give any indication of their interest, at least not one the girl can decipher.

if she likes girls too and you should know that if you are so close then say it to her on the basis that she is single it either a yes or no answer how hard can it be but if she likes men and is not interested in women at all then you should cool of and give her space.

Well this when a shy guy has to step up his game. If there are very few times when you are going to drum up the nerve to do something, this should be one of them. You march right up to her and say, "I fancy you.",,,,,I mean, what the hell is that, you silly Brits. Ask her to go to lunch if that would be unusual.....then give her the good news.

if you were very shy you would probably never tell her, if she knows how he feels and feels the same, make the first move. Some men just cant tell girls how they feel. We are actually quite fragile creatures and taking the risk of having your ego smashed into small pathetic pieces isnt high on our list of agendas!
