DONT USE CASTAR OIL!!! Its tempting yes, but not healthy. Have sex and make sure you have an orgasm, it makes the uterus contract....hehe always worked for me ^ ^

Forget it. First of all it will only give you a nice dose of diarrhea which could be very unpleasant if for some reason it should coincide with time for you to really go into labor. The baby will appear when mother nature says it will. Meantime I hope you don't believe too many of these old wives tales since you are obviously on the verge of being responsible for a new human being that deserves to have a well educated and well informed mother that doesn't fall for such nonsense.

It doesn't work! Unless there is a pretty traumatic happening, such as a sudden extremely hard jolt, the baby will not arrive until it is supposed to. Old wives tales usually make the mother sick or more miserable that if she just relaxes and waits for the day of arrival.

Castor oil is sometimes used as a laxative. You take it orally. It can cause severe cramping in conjunction with cleaning out the bowels, which may or may not trigger labor.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. If you are due very soon, let nature take its course, it's safer for you and the baby.

My doctor told me to have sex, because the sperm helps to break down the mucas plug. Then after sex, they said to walk, walk, walk. It worked for me. I wouldn't do the castor oil. It taste bad, and doesn't help to start labor.
