I was 11 years old when my beloved "Bums" walked out on me!! They left Brooklyn at the end of the 1957 season. I knew right then and there that I could never be an LA Dodger fan. From that moment on there could never be anymore history in Brooklyn. My second favorite team was the Yankees so I had no choice but to begin rooting for the only team that represented New York and that I knew would never leave. I've been a Yankee fan ever since. I've never had any interest in being a Mets fan although I rooted for them in the 1969 and 1973 world series. I never liked the 1986 team because I always thought they were nothing be a bunch of show offs.
