Had been using for a while but wasn't using twice a day like directions and saw no improvement with blackheads. Now am giving it another shot trying to make sure i use it twice daily morn/night. Do u think i'm wasting my money? Also, i never really had any problem with pimples just bheads but since using proactiv i have had more pimple or almost pimples(itching/tingling) like a pimple is coming than ever in my life. I'm also 34 now could my age have anything to do with it?

Well, many women, regardless of age, breakout throughout their lives. Hormonal changes such as pregnancy and the menstrual cycle can be the culprit. I personally have used proactiv and it does work, but make sure that you use it everyday, day and night. I believe that any skin regimine will work if you use it every day and night and keep your skin clean.

I have been using pro activ for almost 2 years and actually i have seen improvement, but it doesnt get rid of them all. And i found that using it twice a day only made my face itchy and dry so i only use it at night and it seems to be working fine. I use to break out a lot but now its either a little bit or none. But i dont think proactiv is for everyone. So maybe you just have to find the right product. I know that it really sucks to have pimples, but since you said since you tried proactiv it gives you pimples then you probably should move to something else. Also for blackheads try the nose strips or even face stripes. I hope it works good luck to you

I use it, but my skin is naturally a little more oily so I don't get the itch you are talking about. Your skin must be more dry?

I would recommend not using the toner (step 2) in the AM. Use it at night so if it does irratate your skin a little, it will calm down overnight.

I don't know what to say about the increase in breakouts or pimples. That was my problem from the start so it only helped me.

Here's a CON: the price. I wish it were less expensive. I order it from QVC because that have good deals on kits from time to time.

I have been using Proactiv for two years and it worked for my adult acne which is actually rosacea. I didn't have blackheads and most of those people on the commercials don't seem to have blackheads either. They have more red and inflammed acne. My skin has adjusted to the Proactiv. It used to be drying but I just used moisturizer over the Proactiv.

If the product is irritating you, then I wouldn't continue using it.

I know someone who tried Proactive and it made their skin worse also. What did work for them was Arbonne's Clear Advantage System. You can find it here...
