If you fast you will lose some weight at first, but all you will be losing is fluid along with very important electrolytes, as well as, muscle tissue. In other words, you will be losing everything but what you want to lose, which is fat. The only thing that burns fat is muscle tissue. That is why exercise is so important. The more muscle tissue you gain by exercising, the more fat you will burn. Also, in order to keep your metabolism up so you can keep burning fat it is very important to have some food in your stomach. Just a small amount spread over 5 times a day in instead of the usual 3 is usually good.

Well you already fast about 8 hours a day when you sleep. But if you mean an additional 12 on top of that? No. Definitly not. Your body would get accustomed to when food was coming and since it only got food once in a while it would store it as fat as much as possible to keep from starving to death.

ya it works.. but NO ONE HERE is gonna recommend it. I ve lost 5 pounds by fasting for 2 days. It was a head start to a diet and it worked out for me... I also maintain by skipping a meal here and there.. I enjoy eating lite and taking a multivitamin.

Good luck.
