when you turn on the machine it starts to fill and just keeps filling until water starts to flow out of the soap dispenser.The water only stops if you turn off the machine.Is there limescale on the valve?Can anyone help.

The water valve is controled by a pressure switch which has a rubber/plastic tube this could have come off inside.
If it was your water control valve sticking it would try to fill even when switched off so that is not your problem. They usually dont open when faulty.
If you unplug from the mains then remove your lid - check all connections and pipes for tightness

The water level is controlled by a pressure switch connected by a tube to the drum. Either the switch is stuck , the diaphragm is broken or the tube has come off, you'll have to go inside to check.

You've probably not thought of checking the filter to see if it is blocked. this should be sited at the pump. check to see if the water outlet is flushing at a good flow rate. if it is not then that is the problem!!!
