This is really a tough situation. In principle, Dog did the right thing. The world really is a better place with that slimeball Luster behind bars for his crimes. On the other hand, he did break Mexican law. He was in their country and broke their rules. We can argue whether the law is just or unjust until the cows come home -- the bottom line is Mexicans in the U.S. don't get to break our laws on the basis that they don't have the same laws in Mexico, so he shouldn't have gone into Mexico and violated their laws. I'm hoping that he doesn't end up in jail, but I don't believe in online petitions. However, if you were to provide me with a hard-copy that I could sign, you'd get my John Hancock on it...

While I think Mr Chapman does a service taking criminals off the street, it is a hypocrisy for him to skip on his own bail. We cannot dictate the law to the Mexican government, as they cannot dictate our law to us. We also do not get to choose what laws we follow. There is a debate raging in this country about illegals violating our laws, what does it say about us if we encourage disobeying their laws. Further, I wonder if the opinions expressed here would be so kind towards a Mexican bounty hunter if he entered our country, and then took Mr Chapman back to Mexico forcibly to face his charges there. I suspect not!

I don't believe in signing online petitions for ANY cause. In this case, I think Dog the Bounty Hunter went into a foreign country (remember Mexico is NOT part of the U. S.) and "arrested" a fugitive. He doesn't have that right. Our POLICE OFFICERS DON'T EVEN HAVE THAT RIGHT.
Who does this goofball dog think he is? If I saw him and his low life "family" coming near me, I would think they're terrorists.

I followed the Luster case and feel Dog did a service to his country. What I don't understand is the Mexican govt.
Why would anyone what a man like Luster running free? Also, Dog usually gets law enforcement permission. Hope Dog and family are exhonarated.

i think that Dog did nothing but good. Sure, he went to Mexico to catch a criminal, but that criminal was a US citizen in the first place!! not to mention he was sick. he raped and abused women while they were out clean on drugs. and he taped it!!! We should all prey Dog is let off so he can continue protecting us from those perverts/ drug addicts/ whatever else they are. also so he can enjoy his life and continue his kick a*s show. Amen!
Oh, and for the record it's not just him in trouble, it's his brother Tim and his son Leland. He couldn't have done it w/o them.

I dont agree with it. And from what I understand, he actually had a mexican police oficer with him at the time. Our judicial system is screwed and good people pay the price. He did something our own police, FBI and government couldn't do, he brought in a "most wanted" criminal. Does it really matter how he did it?

Why should they take legal action against him for doing his job to bring a rapist to justice and because of him Andrew Luster's going to spend the rest of his life in prison and his family's money can't buy his way out of this because he was a sick b*stard for raping innocent women and taping himself raping them.

i think it's all a load of crap! the guy was doing his duty and arresting a criminal and getting him off the streets and into jail where he belongs. why should it matter where he picked him up? where's the world going these days. i think every criminal should be shot any way. forget putting them in jail, they're just waisting our money. they need to be shot and killed as far as i'm concerned. we should make them afraid to be criminals and maybe they'll stop.

I think it's totally unfair, considering he did his "time" already and paid a fine/bail. I hope he gets good representation !
