No, I don't care really what happens, but G.W. has put us in an awful position that we have to help them or we'll look even more stupid than we already do. Which can't be much more. We are already looked down upon becuz of what our pres. has gotten us into. The money being spent in Iraq daily should be being used for programs here in the U.S. We are not safer as G.W. would like us to think. This war is depleting our resources, and tearing us apart as a nation. I'm afraid were doomed. Let the Iraqis fend for themselves. They are ungrateful.

It behooves all of us to care. The outcome of the Iraqi predicament could have far reaching ramifications for the US politically, economically, and from a standpoint of national security. The deaths that our armed forces have incurred are lamentable. Yet that is only half of the tragedy. When you factor in our maimed, the thousands upon thousands of Iraqi civilians dead or injured, and the increasing global acrimony that has resulted due to our actions in Iraq, and the billions spent to sustain such a futile endeavor in Iraq, one who is cognizant of the world around them cannot help but care. Granted most of us, myself included, aren’t so preoccupied with such international events that it becomes an encumbrance to our daily routine, but it is in the back of our minds. All it takes for tyranny to persist if for apathy to occupy the hearts of good men.

yes. people there are humans and love thier families too. 50,000 civilians dead now at least, hundreds of women raped. torture carried out buy americans and foreigners occupying their land.
i hated saddam when rumsfeld was dealing with him back in the 80s. he was evil but the situation for most iraqis is probably worse now in day-to-day security terms. it's no good being free of a dictator if you're too scared to leave the house.

Yes.That is why we are there with hope for a future free of torture and murder sanctioned by a government that basically held them captive. I want them to have schools and lives and to join the world in the 21st century.

I do. I'm happy they're no longer ruled by torturers and hope we can eliminate all the terrorists so the Iraqi people can get back to a normal life some day.

Yes, I care.
America sent its soldiers there, so it's their fault if they get killed, but the Iraqis did not ask them to come and destroy their country.
