Why on earth would anyone care about whether or not someone jacked this chick up? Look at what she has CONFESSED to doing! This goes way beyond insane! She's gonna get special treatment.... and did the victims get? Funerals! And all the while this girl gets protection. What is wrong with this country? Too many RIGHTS for the criminals! I dont know about you, but i dnot want my tax money to go into giving this psycho special treatment...

I agree with you 100%. The justice system should not give this monster 24hr lock up, she should be thrown to the wolves. The way things are nowadays I bet she cops an insanity plea.

The laws you are talking about are not in place to protect the criminals. They are there because people felt it right to protect the rights of the innocent, even if it meant that some guilty were able to go free, rather than punish the criminals even at the expense of innocents being punished.
I agree that what she did was messed up. But being sent to a psych ward is not a pleasure cruise. I don't know what ideas you might have gotten from watching "Girl, Interrupted" or anything else, but psych wards are very stark, bleak places. The people all around you are bonkers, and, if you are sane enough, you realize that you too are no better than them. There is no place more demoralizing than a psychiatric hospital. I am personally amazed anyone ever gets better in a place like that.

I understand where you are coming from - I feel the same way, however... those tax you spoke of.... we still have to pay. It's for our protection as well... If she could do that to those victims, imagine what the insane wacko could do to someone else... Don't dwell on it - Pray for the victims...

I think" broken_an " said it best, I don't believe in the death penalty but it's hard not to for a case like this. Ironically, even if we (Canada) still had it she would not suffer it because of insanety.

She might hurt someone else -she's violent . On the other hand -if somebody hurts her while in custody , you can bet her family would sue .
