The Apollo Astronauts had a car on the moon. I think it ran on a solar battery

Just for future references, try comparing the question to an answer that already works.

Example: compare a typical car to a car that isn't typical to earth, but is fit for the moon. If you don't understand, try to think of a vehicle that has been tested and known to work on the moon, do research on the way both of the vehicles work and compare them.

This logic can be applied to nearly anything given you have the right guidelines.

If it was modified to supply its own oxygen and sensors and fuel systme were re-done to compensate for the almost non-existent atmospheric pressure on the moon, then it would actually work.

However, the moon's surface is very dusty and not good traction, even for a 4x4.

This is the reason the lunar rover was electric and had big wheels which functioned kind of like snowshoes.

Any internal combustion engine requires air to operate. There is no air on the moon. Rockets work because an oxidizer (air) is part of their fuel load.

no, I don't think it would work as typically our autos have combustion engines (fuel). There is no oxygen on the moon to feed to the engine, so therefore I don't think a car would run.
It would, however, if it were battery powered.

Hi. Only if you brought lots of oxygen as well. The moon has no oxygen.

the internal combustion engine barely works here on earth, it wont work in an atmosphere with no oxygen.

it wouldn't because of no oxygen. there is no atmosphere there because of the weak gravity of the moon.
