If it is your first order with the cheque companies, it is definitely much cheaper than your bank. Even if you are not a new customer at the cheque company it will be substantially cheaper...and you get a better selection too.
Usually, only your first cheques with the bank are free. After that there is a hefty re-order price.

Actually, I once got a program for my computer that allowed me to print my own checks! I could even create my own picture backgrounds, so many of my checks had my dog printed on them! They worked fine, the bank accepted them. The check blanks can be purchased at Staples, or other office supply places. They are on a perforated sheet that goes right through your printer. I would do that again, if I can find a more recent version of the program.
It was great!

cheaper and safer to get from your bank.. the ads you see everywhere does not mean it is safe, even if cheaper, might be a scam and then they get your bank route number and account number, then next thing you know is identity theft has happened to you..[ people think that if it is advertised then it must be real, the point is the scammer will spend big money to place these ads and take your money to repay themselves and laugh all the way to the next scam....................

Make your life easier - Get a debit card, and you'll make what checks you have to write last forever.
