What products can you recommend to help me know when the best time conceive (i.e. ovulation, temperature). And has anyone tried the calendar method? If so can I get some info on that?

The best time to conceive is when you are ovulating. To find out when you are ovulating, you can chart your temp. I also recommend fertilityfriend.com. I used it when ttc my daughter over 2 years ago and I still have access to all my old charts. It's wonderful because we are ttc again, and reviewing the old data has been helpful for me. They also have a lot of useful info on the site.

You can also use the ovulation kits. I used the Clear Blue Easy kit. Both methods work, but the ovulation kits get expensive over time. After you buy your basal body thermometer (about $10 at most drug stores), you can chart your temp for free. It's also a good way to keep track to see if you are ovulating the same time each month, which is a helpful for planning sex.

While your figuring out your ovulation time, I would suggest having sex every other day from day 10 of your cycle, thru day 20. Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of your last period. Most women ovulate around day 14, but everybody is different. You can have sex every other day throughout your cycle, but that can be tiring when ttc. Days 10 - 20 should cover you. Good luck!

Try the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" you can probably get it at your library, but it is also at Amazon.com.

That and a good quality thermometer.
